Russia’s attractions run the gamut from museums housing artifacts that date back to the 12th century to high-tech, eye-popping sites.

The Moscow armory Kremlin, part of the Great Kremlin Palace complex, is the oldest museum in Russia. The Moscow armory Kremlin boasts a world renowned collection of Russian and foreign armor. Artifacts from the Tsarist era such as Catherine the Great’s glorious coronation dress and Ivan the Terrible’s ivory throne showcase the glamor of Russian history and the skills of Russian craftsmen. The highlight of the Moscow armory Kremlin is a large case of Faberge eggs.

While Russia has a long and impressive history, technological attractions compete with historical sites for attention. For example, there is the Moscow billboard. This is not the typical billboard but an enormous advertisement that stretches about an acre and a half up and across. One advertisement on the Moscow billboard featured real BMW cars with their headlight on affixed to the billboard.

Visitors to Moscow may also enjoy a side trip to pristine beauty of the North Polar cap. While the North pole is cold, visitors will be happy to hear that the answer to the age old question ‘which is colder the north or south pole?‘ is the South Pole. The South Pole has a higher elevation, making it colder, but not the coldest place on earth. Adventure tours to the vast Polar territory provides Russian tourists with the chance to find out for themselves which is colder the North or South Pole.
