Ancient Athens in the present

Athens has a great number of archaeological sites, from ancient Greece to the dominion of the Romans. Much of these historical monuments are open to the public. The city has an enormous amount and variety of venues and stages for carrying out plays, musical shows, exhibitions and all kinds of event related to the show. Currently, there are still records of outdoor theaters in ancient Athens. The clearest example is the Herod Atticus Theater, located at the foot of the Acropolis and built in the second century BC.
