Manchester

Manchester is both a city and metropolitan district in the county of Greater Manchester in England. It is also an important artistic center, financial, media and higher education.
The truth is that this city is the third most visited UK for tourists worldwide. The center itself is in a provisional list of World Heritage of Unesco, mainly due to its network of canals and mills constructed during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Much of the downtown, especially in the south, is flat, offering unobstructed views of the tall buildings in the city, many of the hills and moors of the Pennines, which often tend to be covered snow in the winter months.

In addition, Manchester has a wealth of museums, including the Lowry, Manchester Art Gallery, Urbis and the Manchester Museum (History Museum) near the University where you can see the artifacts dating back millions of years.
Reptiles live in a realistic environment with dinosaur remains, with many pieces of ancient Egypt. In the city is John Rylands Library, which preserves the oldest manuscript of the gospels that have survived: part of the gospel of John. Another prinpal museum is: Imperial War Museum, near the Manchester Ship Canal in Trafford. The museum is very exciting and shows the history of World Wars and their impact on the city of Manchester, galleries there are many including: The Gallery Manchester’s Art House, Portland Street, opened in 1993 and is known for the gallery largest fine arts in London. But the attraction is that it shows in their rooms a variety of contemporary art, especially the Northern School, the School and the Royal Scottish Society of British Sculptors and The Gallery of Costume at Platt Hall has an impressive collection of costumes. It has vintage clothing, fabrics and all kinds of fashion accessories. There are a lot more of this beautiful city that should not be missed.
